Recap of Buck Pig show #3, at Lowercase Collective in Chicago
Ah, the Lowercase Collective took Greg and Chuck on a trip down memory lane...they both remember playing lots of shows in lots of places like it in previous bands. It's a residential building and had the show in a small room in the basement. Greg and Chuck were easily the oldest folks there by ten or fifteen years, but felt welcomed by the youngsters.
Buck Pig was honored and delighted to be on a bill with the Paper Mice, who were really, really good. Greg said they reminded him of the Stickmen. We heart the Paper Mice.
Buck Pig played last, and folks were getting antsy-- at one point a young man broke a beer bottle on the floor and Nate intervened to talk him down. Once we played, everyone was happy. We premiered a new song, Chain of Nickels.
Next show: who knows?
